- This is a black and white photo of the arrival of the first automobiles to be seen in Thessalon in 1914.
There are many men milling around the cars and standing in the background of the photo. The large building with the front porch is The Queen's Hotel(later known as the O'Connor).

Middle Car: Dr. A.G. Willis (later a member of Parliament), Joe Dobie, James Dobie. Standing holding flag R.C. Dobie,
Car on Right: Driving-J.J. Ansley (Local Postmaster - later Mayor in 1889), Front passenger - A.A.Burke (local Ford dealer). Back seat with two soldiers - Robert Mavor.
