- The wooden swagger stick measures 69 cm long. Silver ball on end measures 10.5 cm in circumference.
- Notes
- The first swagger stick was made in 1569 and it was adopted by the Marine Corps in the latter part of the 19th century. It was used to lead men on parade and to provide punishment for things like sneezing in ranks, scratching your head, or giving an officer a dirty look. In 1959, the swagger stick became an optional piece of the uniform.
