Notes accompanying this photo indicate that the picture was taken in 1991 at the ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the "newly developed Giant White Pine Heritage Site in the Kirkwood Forest". The tree on this date was 350 years old and was "the tallest tree in Ontario at 162 feet..."
