Dick Farrell was a foreman at several camps, however, he did contribute some time at the Horse Camps in Bridgland township, just north of the Kirkwood township border. The horse clearing is still visible today as the acid in the manure prevents trees from growning. The horse camp is east of McArthur's pond over the ridge. You will find it on the east end of the swamp which was a lake back in the logging days. Its a 3900' cross country walk from the road that heads to Shaw Lake.
