    Santa's Village, which celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2015, was the result of the vision and hard work of a group of Bracebridge businessmen headed by banker, Yorke Murphy.

    Santa's Village, opened in 1955, was designed to be an enchanted village of fairy tale characters as well as the summer home of Santa.

    The Candy Cane Express was added to Santa's Village in 1963 and soon became a favourite with families. This photo shows it about to leave the station.

    These little mouse figurines could easily be spotted by youngsters enjoying the ride on the Candy Cane Express train.
