At London Health Sciences Centre - Victoria Campus on Sunday, January 30, 2011, Richard D. Blackmore Sr. of Woodstock in his 62nd year. Beloved husband of Verla F. Blackmore(nee Webber). Dear father of Rick Jr. (Amanda) Blackmore, Robert (Tammy) Blackmore, Adam (Becky) Blackmore, and Holly (Kevin) Kenny. Loved grandfather of 12 grandchildren. Dear brother of Barb (Jim) Jennings, Murry (Mary) Blackmore, Joann (Wayne) Colbran, Marlane (Gary) MacGinnis, Roy (Marilyn) Blackmore, Budd (Kate) Blackmore, Lawrence (Carman) Blackmore, and Kelly (Rita) Butler. Also survived by his mother-in-law Jean Webber, and sister-in-law Wendy Webber, and brother-in-laws Richard (Linda) Webber, Frank (Mabel) Webber, Valerie (Jim) Webber and Marvin (Louise) Webber. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Betty (nee Brown) Blackmore, Father-in-law Reginald Webber, and brother-in-laws Arthur Webber and Ralph Simmons. Richard was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55 Woodstock. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004, on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A graveside service will take place in the Chesterfield Cemetery at a later date. If desired, contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.
