PARKINSON, Barbara Ann - 61, Fox Harbour, Cumb. Co., N.S., formerly of Woodstock, ON., passed away February 25, 2011, at home. Born in Tatamagouche, she was a daughter of the late William and Annie (Oxley) Robblee. Barbara graduated from Pugwash District High School from where she took the first business course offered. She worked for the TD Bank for 37 years before retiring from Woodstock, Ontario, to Fox Harbour in April, 2005. She enjoyed playing fastball, darts, bowling and cards. Barbara was a member and elder of St. Andrew’s United Church, Fox Harbour; a member of the UCW and a member of the board of directors for the Wallace Community Hall. Surviving are her husband, William Parkinson; son Trevor (Laura), Wainwright, Alberta; daughter, Denise (Glenn Fraser) Rees, London, Ontario; grandchildren, Weston, Aubrey, Vaughn and Emmitt Parkinson; Joshua and Alexandra Rees; brothers, Roger (Alma) Robblee, Fox Harbour, Keith (Marguerite) Robblee, North Wallace, Lloyd (Wendy) Robblee, Warwick Mountain, Carson (Marilyn) Robblee, Truro; sisters, Mallie Henderson, Wallace, Margaret (Percy) DeRoche, Miscouche, PEI, Frances Jamieson, Blenheim, Ontario, Alva (Richard) Jamieson, Midville Branch; brother-in-law, John Woloinwsky, Woodstock, Ontario, many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother, William, sister Isabel, brother-in-law, Jerry Jamieson. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Friday, March 4, in MUNDLE’S FUNERAL HOME , 204 Water St., Pugwash. The funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday, March 5, in St. Andrew’s United Church, Fox Harbour. Rev. Connie McNamara officiating. Burial in the Fox Harbour Community Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to any charity.
