WATMOUGH, William - Tragically in Woodstock on Sunday, March 27, 2011, William "Bill" Watmough of Woodstock and formerly of Ingersoll, at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Pat (nee Watling) for nearly 56 years. Dear father of Deb Melanson (Dave) of Mount Elgin, Sandy Lingwood (Don) of Woodstock and the late Linda Watmough (2008). Loving Grandpa of Mitch Lingwood (Tisha), Mike Lingwood (Stacii), Jeremy Melanson (Shivonne), and Tom Melanson (Sheena) and Great Grandpa of Dominic and Savannah. Dear brother of Gladys Mabee (Gene) of Ingersoll and brother-in-law of Bev Stewart of Burlington, and Bill Adolf of London. Also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his granddaughter Nichole, sister Marjorie Stewart, brother and sister-in-law Jack and Mickey Watmough, brother-in-law Jack Watling and sisters-in-law Shirley Watling and Kay Adolf. Also predeceased by his parents Thomas and Hilda Watmough and parents-in-law Albert and Winnifred Watling. Bill worked at the quarries in Beachville for 38 years and was president of the union for 10 years. Friends will be received at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME , 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock on Thursday, 7-9 pm. A service to commemorate Bill's life will be held at the Church of the Epiphany, Anglican, 560 Dundas Street, Woodstock on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 1:30 pm. Cremation followed by interment later at Beachville Cemetery.
