WAY, David Charles - August 5, 1924 -April 5, 2011 - With much sorrow we announce the unexpected and sudden passing of Dr. David C. Way on April 5, 2011 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Cherished husband of Marjorie Way (nee Forman) for 60 years, and beloved father of Marilyn Bryan-Pulham and her husband Paul, Robert and his wife Debbie, Stephen and his wife Timolin. Dear Grandfather to Jennifer and her husband Craig, Melissa and her fiancé Jeff, Abby and Ben, Kristen, Jason and Samantha, Meaghan, Kieran and Ethan. David was also blessed to have a beautiful Great Granddaughter, Leah. A graduate of the University of Toronto and University of Michigan, David was a devoted member of the dental and orthodontic community in London for over fifty years. His private practice on Queens Avenue was one of the first orthodontic offices in London. David was an integral member in the founding of the Graduate Orthodontic Program at The University of Western Ontario, where he served as an Associate Professor for many years. He was also Past President of the London District Dental Society. David loved his time with Marje at the family cottage in Port Albert, Ontario during the summers, and enjoyed playing golf and watching pelicans all winter at their condo in St. Petersburg, Florida. A great reader, David always had a political book on the go, and many newspapers to absorb daily. He loved the animals that he had in his life, especially his dogs, Queenie, Butch and Snoop. David's love for his family, and the deep responsibility for their safety and happiness that he felt will be dearly missed by everyone. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 1pm with visitation one hour prior at Bishop Cronyn Memorial (442 William St., at Queens Ave.) Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Donations may be made to Parkwood Hospital, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to NEEDHAM FUNERAL SERVICE , London.
