TOWLE, Janet - AtWoodstock General Hospital on Thursday, June 9, 2011, Janet B. Towle of Woodstock in her 81st year. Predeceased by her parents Ernest (1940) and Jean (1987) Towle, sister Barbara Richardson (2005) and dear friend Bill Pocock (2004). Dear sister of Doris Ewing and her husband Dr. Robert Ewing of Sault Ste. Marie. Dear aunt of Ruth Parsad (Karam) of 100 Mile House, B.C., Thomas Ewing (Keena) of London, Shelagh Ewing (Denis Findlay) of Sault Ste. Marie, and Alexander Ewing (Jennifer) of Calgary. Sadly missed by her 5 beloved great nieces and nephews and one great great nephew. Lovingly remembered by granddaughters Jill (Wilson), Bonnie, and Janet, and their children and grandchildren. Janet was a longtime math teacher at College Avenue Secondary School in Woodstock and began her teaching career at Bawating C. & V.S. in Sault Ste. Marie. She and Bill owned and operated Twin Lakes Outfitters in Nakina, Ontario for many years. The family wishes to thank Jill Lee and Kevin Utley for their years of care and devotion. Friends will be received at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME , 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock on Monday, June 13, 2011 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm for a funeral service in the chapel at 1:00 pm with Rev. David Duncan officiating. Cremation, followed by interment later at the Presbyterian Cemetery.
