BLAKE, J. Bernard - Passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Sakura House, Woodstock at the age of 76. He is survived by his wife Barbara (Hess-Racknor) Blake, his children; Rodney (Pat) Blake of Drumbo, Mary (Jim) Brady of Paris, Robert of Woodstock, Vicki Hick (Brian) of Chilliwack, B.C. Randy of Elmwood, by his seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, brothers Jack (Pearl) Blake of Drumbo, Don (Sylvia) Blake of Scotland and by several sisters and brothers-in-law. Predeceased by parents Lew & Grace Blake & brother Clarence and sister Pat. Bernard was a well known auctioneer/postmaster in the Drumbo area for many years. Upon retiring he owned and operated J.B.'s antiques in Drumbo. His love of people drew a wide circle of friends. He will be missed by many. Friends will be received at the BROCK and VISSER FUNERAL HOME (formerly Longworth's), 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday, July 12, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 1:30 pm with Pastor Roy Hawkins officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment later in the Drumbo Cemetery. If desired, contributions to Sakura House, Drumbo District Heritage Society or Drumbo Baptist Church would be appreciated.
