BROWN, William "Bill" Wallace - Passed away on Saturday July 23, 2011 at his Caressant Care residence in Woodstock after a short illness. He was the last surviving member of his family. Born in Kitchener, he moved to Woodstock as a young man. After serving his country during WW II, he worked to retirement at La France Textiles. He married later in life to Ruth Cuthbertson Sullivan with whom he spent many happy years. Ruth predeceased him in 1998. He is lovingly remembered by Mary Lou Jones and family with who he spent much leisure time and many holidays. A funeral service to honour Bill will be held at the BROCK AND VISSER FUNERAL HOME (formerly Longworth Funeral Home), 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday July 26, 2011 at 11:30 am with a gathering of friends and relatives one hour prior to the service. Interment later in the Anglican Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Woodstock General Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
