HABEL, Beatrice Pearl (nee Berge) - passed away peacefully at her residence the People Care Centre, Tavistock on Tuesday September 13, 2011. Bea Habel of Plattsville in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Roy Habel who predeceased her September 4, 1991. Loving mother of Gywinith and husband James Murray of New Hamburg, Kathyrn (Katie) and husband Tom Scott of Canmore, Alberta, Elizabeth and husband John Bell Sr., of London and Carol and husband Bruce Main of RR#1 Plattsville. She will be sadly missed by her 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. Predeceased by her brothers Doug and Dalton Berge Bea was a member of the Peace United Church and had been involved with St. John's Ambulance for over 60 years having been appointed by St. John's Ambulance as Dame Beatrice Habel. Relatives and friends may call at the GLENDINNING FUNERAL HOME 40 William St., Plattsville on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be conducted at the Peace United Church, Plattsville on Sunday September 18, 2011 at 2:00pm. Rev. Jan Aylward officiating. Interment in Chesterfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. John's Ambulance or Peace United Church (cheques accepted) would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be sent at www.gffh.ca
