PEAT, Lorne B. - Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the Woodstock General Hospital. Lorne Peat of RR#1 Bright in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Shirley (nee Bray) whom he married September 19, 1953. Dear father of Janice Zarzycki of Waterloo, Jairus and wife Colleen of RR#1 Bright. Sadly missed by his grandson Brent Bieber. Survived by his sister Marion Leonard of Port Elgin, brother-in-law Fred Robinson of Calgary. Predeceased by his daughter Jane Cruise (1997), parents James Wallace Peat and Jean Muir Arnott, brother David and wife Isabel and sister Charlotte Robinson and brother-in-law Charles Leonard. Lorne lived and farmed all of his life on the family farm at RR#1 Bright. Relatives and friends may call at the GLENDINNING FUNERAL HOME , 40 William St., Plattsville on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be conducted at the Ratho Presbyterian Church on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.
