TUCKER, Ann Catherine - Suddenly, as a result of a car accident, in Orillia on Saturday, August 20, 2011 in her 77th year. Ann Tucker (nee Chisholm) of Orillia. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Olen "Olie" Tucker of Orillia. Much loved mother of Peter and his wife Donna of Washago, Kenneth and his wife Jillian of Fergus, Stephanie and her husband John Balkwill of Coldwater, Theresa and her husband Matt Hardy of Australia, Andrew and his wife Karen of Whistler, Kris and her husband Rob McAleer of Collingwood and Karen and her husband Vincent Trottola of London. Loving grandmother of sixteen grandchildren. Predeceased by her mother Audrey and father Alexander Chisholm of Springhill, Nova Scotia. Dear sister of Gail Chisholm and Donnie Chisholm, both of Corner Brook, Newfoundland. Much loved aunt to Ronnie, Lisa, Stephanie and Trudy all of Corner Brook, Newfoundland. Dear aunt to Nancy Tucker and family, formerly of Woodstock. Annie will also be fondly remembered by her many friends and the Guardian Angels Catholic Church community. Annie will always be remembered for her love and dedication to her family as well as to her Church. She proudly spoke of her children's many accomplishments and was considered the "Quarterback" of the family, keeping everyone connected, grounded and in touch with one another. Her love and dedication to God led her to be an active member within the Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church community and her beautiful voice could be heard every Sunday as part of the Church choir. Annie was also known for her love of the outdoors and her beautiful gardens. "Everyone deserves a second chance," she would say, as she carefully brought a weak little plant back to life with her gentle hands and caring ways. She had the uncanny ability to make even the lowliest plant grow and her lavish garden and many, many houseplants are a testament to her love of all things green and beautiful. Annie could be seen strolling through the neighbourhood on her daily walks, greeting all that passed with a warm smile, genuine "hello" and many times a hug when she encountered a friend, old or new. Her smile was contagious, her sense of humour was quick-witted and light-hearted, and she will be sadly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her. A Memorial Service for both Ann and Olen will be held at Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 115 West Street North, in Orillia on September 12, 2011 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Children's Wish Foundation. Messages of condolences are welcomed at www.simcoefuneralhome.ca
