SYMONS, Stanley (Sonny) - Peacefully at Caressant Care, Woodstock on Saturday, October 22, 2011. Stan Symons, formerly of Cathcart, in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Brenda (nee Hayward). Loving dad of Bob & Cassie, of Kitchener, Barb & Adrian Op't Hoog, of Feversham. Cherished grandpa of Avery, Noah, and Kyle. Dear brother of Laurene Ovington, Mary Tune, Ross Symons, Jean & Phil Ficht, Dorothy & Art Arnold. Also survived by his sister-in-law Gladys Symons, mother-in-law Elieen Hayward, and sister-in-law Linda & Don Ross. Predeceased by his son Bill Symons (1992), brothers Ken, Ivan, Charles, and sister Doris Shiel. Stan will be sadly missed by his many family & friends. Friends will be received at the KEITH OVINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 134 King Street Burford on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday October 26, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Stan's memory may be made to the Eastwood United Church, Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes.
