GOODING, LaVona Fern - Peacefully on November 3, 2011, at The Westmount Long Term Care, LaVona Gooding formerly of Plattsville in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Sherwood "King" Gooding who predeceased her on September 17, 1990. Loving mother of Linda McGrath (nee Hird) of Kitchener, Lavern of Winnipeg, Alan & wife Mami Ishihara of Calgary, Carl & wife Colleen of Baden and Elaine & husband Steve Bechthold of Petersburg. She will be sadly missed by 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Predeceased by son Ronald James Hird (1997), by her son-in-law Norb McGrath (1994) and by her sister Beulah Wilson. Relatives and friends may call at the GLENDINNING FUNERAL HOME, 40 William Street, Plattsville on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. The funeral service will be at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 2:00p.m. with Rev. Richard Orlowski officiating. Interment in Roseville Cemetery.
