SAUNDERS, Clifford S. "Chippy" - Peacefully at Woodstock Hospital on Sunday, December 4th, 2011. Clifford S. "Chippy" Saunders of Woodstock in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Margaret A. Saunders (nee Bee). Loved brother of Ena (Bev) Avey of Norwich, Phyllis (Earl) McGee, Doris Griggs, Jack (Donna) Saunders, and Bud (Dona) Saunders all of Woodstock. Dear brother-in-law of Vera and Helen Saunders. Predeceased by his parents, brothers Jim, Robert, George, Fred, Archie, Harold and Bill Saunders, sister Joyce Rutherford, sisters-in-law Alice, Eileen and Dorothy Saunders and brother-in-law Fred Griggs. Chippy served in the Navy during WW II, was a member of the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 415, Port Loring as well as a member of the Beachville Hunt Club. Friends may call at the BROCK and VISSER FUNERAL HOME, 845 Devonshire Ave. Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Wednesday, December 7th, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm where the Memorial Service will be held in the chapel Thursday, December 8th, 2011 at 3:30 pm. Private family interment later in the Anglican Cemetery.
