KIRKPATRICK, Miriam - Peacefully at Woodstock General Hospital on Saturday, May 26, 2012, Miriam "Millie" Kirkpatrick (nee Jones) of Woodstock in her 93rd year. Born in London (Chelsea), England on August 28, 1919, Miriam attended school at Brompton Oratory in Chelsea. She came from a talented family - Musical Miriam sang with her brother, a professional singer with the Metropolitan Opera. She entertained at several places in London (war workers) and was a fire watcher at night. Miriam was among the first war brides who came to Woodstock, arriving in November, 1944. She well known in Woodstock as a volunteer at Woodstock General Hospital for 28 years, as well as nursing homes and Goodwill. She was a also former performer at the Woodstock Theatre. Predeceased in 2008 by her husband Robert Kirkpatrick, whom she married in January, 1942. Survived by her sons John, Mike, and Dan (Linda), and her grandchildren and great grandchildren, David, William, Nicki, and Josh in Woodstock and Sean, Ryan and Jessica in Australia. As the last remaining member of her immediate Jones family, she was predeceased by her parents Charles and Charlotte Jones, four brothers and two sisters. She will be missed by several nieces and nephews. Private funeral arrangements.
