SMYTH, Betty - Peacefully at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, Betty Willis Smyth (nee Chalk) of Woodstock in her 96th year. Beloved wife for 66 years of the late John (2004). Dear mother of Mary Stevens (late Harry), Lynda Smyth, Susan Colic (Valerie), David Smyth (Wendy), Jim Smyth (Heather), and the late Janet Whitwell (late George). Also lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Dear sister of Janice O'Neill and sister-in-law of Maidie Chalk and Joseph Dertinger. Loving aunt of several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Barbara Dertinger and brothers Jeffrey and Frank Chalk. Betty was a longtime active member of First Baptist Church. Friends will be received at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock on Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev. Dr. Douglas Anderson officiating. Interment at Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
