GILBERT, Kenneth Clark - Kenneth Clark Gilbert, 99 of London, ON, formerly of Woodstock, passed peacefully, Monday, September 24, 2012, at the McCormick Home, London. Ken was born January 16, 1913 in Woodstock to Edward and Alice (Morris) Gilbert and married Doris Jean Clarkson on June 12, 1940. He is survived by his daughter Lyn (Gil) Moore of Joppatown, MD, his son Gary (Anne) Gilbert of London, ON, his grandchildren Elizabeth (Keith) Voss of Baltimore, MD, Ken (Melanie) Moore of Bel Air, MD, Sarah Gilbert of Toronto and Chris (Marcy Langille) Gilbert of Vancouver, BC, and his great grandchildren, Alex, Lindsey and Natalie Voss, and Blake, Brooke and Brad Moore. Ken was a long time resident of Woodstock, served his country in WWII, a loyal Rotarian and past manager of the Beer Store in Woodstock. He loved all sports, hockey, golf, curling, and was a member of the Woodstock Grad football team, Jr. Dominion Championship of 1931. Ken was a loving husband and father, a mentor to many and will be truly missed by all. We wish a heart filled "thank you" to all the staff at McCormick Home for making Ken's final years special. You are truly kind and caring people. A Graveside Service will be held at Hillview Cemetery, Fifth Avenue, Woodstock on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 10:30 am.
