WEST, Melvin E. "Mel" - Peacefully at Spruce Lodge, Stratford on Friday, October 12, 2012 Melvin E. "Mel" West age 90 years of Stratford and formerly of Embro. Beloved husband of the former Lila Ruth Kittmer. Dear father of Harvey and Elizabeth West of Thamesford and Elizabeth's sons David and Chris, Mary VanEgdom and Harry of Embro. Proud grandfather of Adam VanEgdom and Mandy of Beachville, Emily Hodgins and Phil of Embro and great grandfather of Logan Hodgins. Dear brother-in-law of Joyce West, Connie Kittmer, Loreen Kittmer and Ruth Kittmer. Predeceased by his parents Carling V. West and the former Florence Golem, brothers Mervin West, Chester West, brothers-in-law Albert Kittmer, Harvey and Dell Kittmer, Ross Kittmer, Findlay Kittmer, Burns Kittmer, Andrew and Jessie Kittmer and sisters-in-law Myrtle McCorquodale and Jim, Florence Holden and George, Helen McGee and Bill. Resting at the L. A. BALL FUNERAL CHAPEL , 7 Water St. N., St. Marys on Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 2-5 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Knox United Church, Embro on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Keith Rameshwar officiating. Interment in North Embro Cemetery. In his memory donations to the Alzheimer Society or Knox United Church, Embro would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
