LEROY, Cesar - Peacefully at Hardy Terrace, Mount Pleasant, on Friday, October 12, 2012, Cesar Leroy of Brantford and Woodstock, in his 85th year. Along with all his brothers and sisters, Cesar was intensely active as a French Resistance Fighter during WWII. He was a strong and charismatic man who was deeply devoted to his precious wife, his children, his friends, his co-workers and his religion. He was a loud Frenchman who loved to live his life to the fullest whenever he could. He will be sorely missed by all the people who have come into contact with him. Beloved husband of Lucette (née Ginet) for 63 years. Father of the late Alain Leroy, Micheline Medve (Leslie) of Scotland, Jacqueline Leroy (Carlos Benchimol) of Toronto, Laurette Leroy of Woodstock, Diane Zandbergen (Jerry) of Brantford, and Luc Leroy (Dee) of Trenton. Grandfather of Dominicque Leroy, Adam Seewald, Elliot Benchimol-Leroy, Stephanie Medve, Leslie Medve, Christine Perssia, Stacey Perssia, the late Sean Leroy, David Leroy, and Jonathan Leroy. Great grandfather of Alexis Leroy, Alexis Benchimol-Leroy, and Madison White. Also remembered by his adopted daughter Therese Sabourin. A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 904 Dundas Street, Woodstock on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. If desired, memorial donations to St. John Ambulance would be appreciated and may be arranged through the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, Woodstock, (519) 537-3611.
