MUTERER, James Neil - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of James Neil Muterer on Wednesday, February, 27, 2013 at Victoria Hospital in his 84th year. Jim leaves behind his wife Elizabeth (Forbes) of 49 years. Love and respected by his children Mary Ellen, Jane (Mark Ellah), Donald (Yelena) and Joanne. Jim adored his grandson Alexander James Muterer. Also remembered by his step grandchildren Valerie, Mitchell, Alexandra and Clarke Ellah. Dearly loved by his sisters and brother in law Marjorie Muterer, Elizabeth and John MacCallum. Sadly missed by his sister in law and brother in law Joyce and Barry Norwood. Also survived by his many Nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Predeceased by his father Neil (1975), mother Ethel (2010), sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Hartwell Baigent (1979). Jim also served his community as both mayor and councilor for the township of Zorra. He also served on many committees and boards throughout Oxford County and continued to serve on the Ingersoll Rural cemetery board and North Oxford history book committee. Jim also received many recognitions for his service throughout the county. Jim was a long time farmer, farming for well over 60 years. He also enjoyed his many trips and parades with the Ingersoll pipe band, which included three trips to Taiwan. Jim loved nature, was an avid reader and loved a good "discussion". Visitation will be held at McBEATH-DYNES FUNERAL HOME 246 Thames St. S., Ingersoll Sunday March 3rd from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be conducted on Monday, March 4th at 1 pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to London Health Sciences Centre, Saint Elizabeth Healthcare Foundation or the Ingersoll Pipe Band (Cheques accepted) would be appreciated by the family.
