GOFTON, Russell Wylie - P assed away peacefully on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at his residence Nithview Home, New Hamburg. Russell Gofton formerly of RR#1 Plattsville in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie (Cook) who predeceased him January 12, 1989. Loving father of Mary Jane and Bob Jakeman, Brenda and Rodger Vaughan of Smithville, Tom of RR#3 Bright and Randy of RR#1 Plattsville. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Devin, Stuart, Chad, Kimberly, Ryan, Moira, Duane, Steve, Thomas Michael, Jake, Amanda and great grandson James. Predeceased by his sister Margaret Scheifele. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service to be conducted at the Peace United Church, Plattsville on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Jan Aylward officiating. Interment in Chesterfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or the Sunshine Foundation (cheques accepted) would be appreciated by the family.
