DOHERTY, Valerie Marian (nee MacDonald) - passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8 days after celebrating her 75th birthday with her son, Thomas Riley, daughter-in-law Mary Ann, grandchildren Benjamin Thomas and Katerina Nicole Suzannah and friends. Born in Clute, Ontario, to Alan and Suzannah (Ligette) MacDonald, Val is predeceased by sister Aline Mathews, and brothers Alan and Colin. She is survived by big brothers Ron and Bruce. Val was predeceased by her husband Lloyd Riley and carried the task of single parenthood with fortitude and support from her mother and her in-laws, Thomas and Frebi. Val is also predeceased by her husband, Earl Doherty. The funeral service is Saturday, March 16 at Christ's Church Bells Corners, 3861 Old Richmond Road, at 11:00 am followed by a reception.
