Yeck, William Bond (Died)

YECK, William Bond - 87, of Woodstock and formerly of Bright passed away in Woodstock General Hospital on Monday, July 8, 2013. He was born in Blenheim Township, Oxford County on January 10, 1926 a son of the late Albert Wilfred Yeck and the former Anna Lois Riesberry. Bill had served with the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II and later owned and operated W.B. Yeck and Sons Construction of Bright. He married Elizabeth Georgina "Betty" Frier at London on December 30, 1943. She predeceased his on May 18, 2002. Bill is survived by two sons, Jim and wife Heather Yeck, Rod and wife Chris Yeck, all of Bright; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, Susan and Dean Richardson, Brandon, Austin and Olivia; Aaron (2006) and wife Kerry Yeck, Nathan and Joel; Tricia and Jason Wettlaufer, Emily, Kaitlyn and Brady; Kristen and Adam Learn, Quinn and Nolan; Nick and Kristyn Yeck and Claire; Amanda Yeck and friend, Cory Witzel; sisters and brothers-in-law, Audrey and Stan Skinner, Ken Robblee, Isabelle and Ray Johnston, Mary and Mike Schuurmans, Ernie Wall, Ruby Farquhar, Lynda and Doug Sadler; brother, Donald Yeck; sister-in-law, Barbara (Mrs. Russell) Yeck; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Douglas Johnson. He was predeceased by his sisters and brother-in-law, Margaret Robblee, Ruth and Robert Riddick, Betty Wall and brothers, Gordon Yeck, John Yeck and Russell Yeck and his grandson Aaron Yeck. Relatives and friends will be received in the FRANCIS FUNERAL HOME, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 1-1:45 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. The Rev. Keith Sutherland will officiate. Interment in The Anglican Cemetery, Woodstock.
