TUNE, A. Howard - An old farmer passed away at Hardy Terrace, Mount Pleasant on Saturday, August 10, 2013. He was in his 93rd year having spent the majority of them working on the family farm in New Durham where he and wife Margaret raised six children; Elizabeth and her husband Peter Coates, Arnie, Allan and his wife Heather, Darryl (AKA 'George'), Sarah and her husband George Klassen and Barry and his wife Sherri. Howard and Margaret were in their 50th year of marriage and have 8 grandchildren. Also survived by his only sister Doris Givens. He was a man who loved nature, farming and family. In his youthful days he enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. Friends will be received at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford on Tuesday August 13, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. A private family service will be held in the chapel. Interment Princeton Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Howard's memory may be made to the Burford Agricultural Society (Hall Build) as Dad always loved the Fair.
