DYKES, Mina - Passed away peacefully on Thursday August 15, 2013 at People Care Nursing Home in Tavistock. Mina Rosetta Elizabeth Dykes (McHardy) was in her 95th year. She was the beloved wife of the late Sydney Dykes and William McHardy (1985). Loving mother to Bonnie and the late Laurie Young, Judy (Patrick) Johnson and James McHardy. She will also be missed by her 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sisters Cecelia Giankos and Arvilla Sabin. Mina started off her career as a sales clerk at Cleda's Fine Fashions in Woodstock and ended her career in retirement at Fisher Controls also in Woodstock. She was a long time member of the I.O.D.E., UCW, and the Royal Canadian Legion. Friends are invited to join the family at the BROCK and VISSER FUNERAL HOME , 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004) on Monday, August 19, 2013, 12:30-1:30pm where the funeral will be held in the chapel at 1:30pm.
