NIXON, Roy - At the Woodstock Hospital on Monday, August 26, 2013, Roy Nixon of Woodstock in his 90th year. He was born in Hamilton and was the son of the late Charles and Emma Nixon. Beloved husband for almost 59 years of Norma (nee Carter) Nixon. He will be sadly missed by his children Avelea Broadhurst (Dr. Randy Burton), Steve Nixon (Danielle), Ted Nixon (Mary Ann) and the late Elizabeth Nixon (2004). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jim Broadhurst, Jaimi, Autumn, Keegan, Ember, Claudia and Sophia and a great granddaughter Brooklyn. Dear brother of Dr. Jack Nixon (Vera Norry). Also survived by a brother-in-law David Carter (Daphne). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Lyn Kays (Tom) and a sister-in-law Lenore Luciw. Roy was Chief Engineer at Truck Engineering for 39 years. He was a Flight Sergeant in the RCAF and a pilot for the Air Observer School in Winnipeg. He was past president of the Homebuilt Aircraft Association in Brantford at which time he built his own bi-plane. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at the Woodstock Hospital.
