CRABBS, Donald - Peacefully at the Woodstock Hospital on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, Donald E. Crabbs of Woodstock, in his 93rd year. Husband of the late Eleanor Crabbs (formerly Carter, nee Barber) (2011) and Cleo Crabbs (nee Hood) (1978). Father of Phillip of Bandon, Oregon and the late Ronald (1991) and Pamela (1974). Stepfather of Dr. Paul Carter (Lucy) of Woodstock. Grandfather of Christopher Carter (Jennifer) of Ottawa, Barbara Carter (Michael) of Calgary, Stephanie Carter of Toronto, and Scott Carter (Farrah) of Thornbury and the late Ronald (1971) and Danielle (1982). Great grandfather of Zoe, Owen, Alice, Lucy, Blythe, and Mathew. Brother of Robert (Mary) of Florida and the late Roger. Donald began work for FMC in 1942 and retired in 1985 after spending the last 20 years as Plant Manager in Woodstock. Friends will be received at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock on Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm for a funeral service in the chapel at 2:30 pm. Cremation followed by interment later at Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Woodstock Hospital Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Oxford would be appreciated.
