ELSON, Joyce Aileen (nee Swan) - With the love of her family at her side, at Woodstock General Hospital, on the morning of her 77th birthday, September 23, 2013. Joyce Aileen Elson (Swan) peacefully passed away. Adored wife and best friend of Gordon. Loving mother of David (Dawn), Laura (Lorenzo), Pam (Damon). Wonderful grandma to Eric (Irena), Lorissa, Lorenzo (Sarah), Jessica (Adam), Rene (Sari), Stephanie (Tyrone), Julianna, Gordon, Alicia, Jacob. Great grandma of eleven. Loving sister to Bill (Kathleen), Jim (Joanne), Anne (Bill). Sister-in-law to Lloyd, Charles (Margaret) and Judy. Survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins. Predeceased by granddaughter Rose, sister Barbara, brother Robert, parents Hap and Jessie. She will be missed by all of her many friends and musician friends far and wide. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the McBEATH-DYNES FUNERAL HOME 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll on Wednesday 7-9 pm and Thursday, September 26 from 12-1 pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 1pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (cheques accepted) would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
