HALEY, Gordon Harris - 1940 - 2013 - Safe in the arms of Jesus surrounded by his loving family, Gordon Harris Haley of Springford passed away peacefully at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at the age of 73 years. Loving husband and best friend of 43 years to Ruth Ann (nee: Irving). Proud father of Colin and Jennifer of St. George; Paul and Alison of Tillsonburg; Alan and Denise of Springford, and cherished Grandpa of Justin and Lauren; Aiden and Avery; Ethan and Alivia. Much loved son of the late Earl and Lila Haley, and his step-mother Beatrice Haley. Loving brother to Jeanette and David Heron of Woodstock, Barbara and the late Loyal Stevenson of Woodstock; brother-in-law to the late Maxine and Alex Doan. Survived by sisters-in-law Lois Irving and the late Lavern Irving of Norwich; Donnajean and Jim Jefferies of Orillia; Marjorie and Ross Albright of Mt. Elgin. Gordon was the proud owner and operator of Haleyhurst Farms. He was an active member and Deacon of Springford Baptist Church, and very involved in his community. His family, grandchildren and his many friends were an extremely important part of his life. Special thank you to all the doctors, and medical teams of Tillsonburg and London for their excellent care. The family will receive friends and family at OSTRANDER'S FUNERAL HOME, 43 Bidwell St., Tillsonburg (519) 842-5221 on Friday, October 11, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service for Gordon will be held in the Ostrander's Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 1 p.m. Pastor Lola Mather-Dyer of Springford Baptist Church officiating.
