ALYEA, Percy Howard - It is with saddened hearts the family wish to announce the passing of Howard Alyea, at the Woodstock Hospital on Saturday October 19th 2013, in his 74th year. Beloved husband for over 51 years of K. Eileen Alyea (nee Andrew). Loving father of Alan (Jennifer) Alyea and Brenda (Kyle) Barnes both of Woodstock. Proud and cherished poppy of Cole, Brooklyn, Ruby and Andrew. Dear brother of George (Marg) Alyea and Walter (Ferne) Alyea. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Howard was a member of Oxford Centre United Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, cutting wood, farming and gator rides. Friends will be received at the BROCK and VISSER FUNERAL HOME 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Wednesday October 23rd 2013 from 3:30 -5:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm, where the memorial service will be held in the chapel Thursday October 24th 2013 at 2:00 pm. Cremation has taken place. Private interment at Oxford Centre Pioneer Cemetery. If desired, contributions to the Oxford Centre United Church or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
