Massaquoi, Sylvia Violet (Died)

MASSAQUOI, Sylvia Violet - Passed away peacefully on October 18 surrounded by loved ones. She is predeceased by husband of 42 years Johannes, brother Vere and parents Ivy and Percival. Survived by daughters Heather Laconia and Notisha sisters Sheila, Merle, Ramona, brothers Winston and Ewart and many nieces and nephews. Sylvia was born in San Fernando, Trinidad. She trained as a Midwife/Nurse in England. She worked as an Obstetrical Nursing Supervisor /Instructor for over 40 years in Sierra Leone, Grand Falls, Nfld, and Ingersoll. Sylvia was an avid gardener, musician, traveller and cruciverbalist. She was proud of the 100's of nurses she trained and the 1000's of babies she delivered throughout her career. Visitation will be at TRULL FUNERAL HOME 1111 Danforth Ave, Toronto 416-465-4661, Tuesday, October 22 from 6pm-9. Graveside service will be at Oxford Memorial Park 519–539-8831, October 23 at 2pm.
