THOMAS, Mildred Irene (nee Prouse) - Peacefully with family by her side at Woodstock Hospital on Saturday, November 30, 2013 in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late George Thomas (1988). Loving mother of Marilyn Fraser (late Moran) of Embro. Cherished grandma of David (Sherry), Jeff (Michelle) and great grandma Thomas of Cody, Kyle and Cheyenne. Dear sister of Lu Topham. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Keith, her brothers Wray and Jack and her sisters Winnifred and Eilene. Mildred was a member of Zenda United Church, Dundas Street United Church and active in the U.C.W. and institute; Woodstock Fair Board; Woodstock Horticultural Society. She volunteered at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock and Caressant Care Nursing Home Woodstock. Friends will be received at the McBEATH-DYNES FUNERAL HOME, 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll Wednesday 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Bonnie Pilkey of Dundas Street United Church officiating. Interment to follow in Harris Street Cemetery. Memorial donations in Mildred's memory to Woodstock Hospital Palliative Care or Sakura House (cheques accepted) would be appreciated.
