IBBICK, Perry - At the Woodstock Hospital on Monday June 3rd, 2013. Perry Clement Sibbick of Park Place Woodstock (since 2007) and formerly of Princeton in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Mary Elizabeth (Holland) (1998). Dear father of Judi and her husband Jim Nichol of Stratford, Brian and his wife Fran of Manitou, Manitoba and Bryce of Tillsonburg. Loving grandpa to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers Austin of Toronto and Jack Cain of Brantford. Predeceased by grandsons David and Jason Sibbick and sister Mildred Guthrie and parents Earle and Rheta Sibbick, life long residents of Etonia. Perry served a total of 20 years as a School Board Member and Municipal Councillor. He was Warden of Oxford County in 1974 and then elected the first Warden of the Restructured County of Oxford in 1975/76. A former Reeve of the Township of Blenheim and Mayor of the restructured Township of Blandford-Blenheim. He was awarded the Queen's Silver Jubilee Medal in 1977. Perry was active in a number of organizations, a 50 year Past Master of Blenheim Masonic Lodge #108 AF. AM, Princeton, Past Patron Burford Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and a life member of Thames Valley Chapter Innerkip. He was involved in the planning and construction of the Princeton Centennial Centre at both the Municipal and local levels. In 1980 Perry was one of the three appointed by the Ministry of Environment for Ontario to inspect and assess the various methods of waste disposal at sites in Western Europe. Born on the family farm in Blenheim Township, he continued farming in Etonia for many years. Perry was active in sports having played both hockey and baseball with area teams and later tested his skills at golf. He enjoyed travelling and wintered in Florida for 15 years. Friends may call on the family at the BROCK AND VISSER FUNERAL HOME , 845 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock, (519-539-0004) on Friday June 7th, 2013 from 4-6pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel Saturday June 8th, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Rev. David Carrothers officiating. If desired, contributions to the Etonia United Church or Princeton Centennial Hall would be appreciated by the family. Interment at Princeton Cemetery. A Masonic service under auspices Blenheim Lodge #108 A.F and A.M will be held in the chapel on Friday June 7th at 6:30pm
