ROEPMAN, Willem (Wim) Frederik - A send off to our wonderful dad, Willem (Wim) Frederik Roepman, who died peacefully on December 30th, 2013 at the age of 79 after a short illness. He taught us how to live with dignity, integrity and wisdom. Predeceased by his wife and our mom Mary Roepman (nee Bugiardini). He will be missed by his widow Violet Grierson-Roepman and his children Patrick Arnold (Sandy), Mike Arnold (Janice), Karry Finucan (Al), Daniel Roepman (Felicia) and Anne-Marie Zajdlik (Barry). He leaves a legacy of grandchildren: Erin, Matthew, Joshua, Emily, Amie, Andrew, Sean, Becky, Dave, John, Bailey, Adam, Samuel and Elise and great grandchildren: Will, Noah, Leila, Duncan, Islay, John, Jonus and Finn. He will be missed by his sisters and brothers: Tini Oudijn-Roepman, Hannie Ubbens-Roepman, Miep Pronk-Roepman, Ellie Pelgrim-Roepman, Chris Roepman, Wil Castelijns-Roepman, Wilma Willemen-Roepman, Agnes Roepman and Daan Roepman. Dad came to Canada at the age of 19 from the Netherlands. He built his life and grew his family in small town Ontario and his career at the Royal Bank of Canada. We would like to extend our warmest gratitude to the staff and nurses of 7 East at the Guelph General Hospital, the Guelph General Hospitalist Team and the amazing staff at Hospice Wellington. You gave us strength and courage during this very difficult time. A memorial service will be held at the Gilbert MacIntyre Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. North, Guelph, Ontario at 3 pm on Saturday January 11, 2014.
