Weil, Lester Harvey (Died)

WEIL, Lester - Lester Harvey Weil, 89, of R. R. #1, Tavistock passed away at the Maple Home for Seniors, Tavistock on Tuesday, January 27, 2015. He was born in East Zorra Township, Oxford County on October 6, 1925 a son of the late Henry and Ida (Schmidt) Weil. He had farmed all his life on a pioneer family farm that was purchased by his great grandfather in 1847. He married Margaret Thornton on December 5, 1953. She predeceased him on May 27, 2010. Lester is survived by his two sons, Paul Weil of Grand Bend, Peter and wife Joanne Weil of R. R. #1, Tavistock; two grandchildren, Haley and husband Scott Muirhead, Cody Weil and his friend Sarah; two great-grandchildren, Paiton and Kinley Muirhead; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Elva Weil; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Alda and Stanley Reibling, Anna and Bruce Ferguson. Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in Grace United Church, Tavistock on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Mary Stewart will officiate. Spring interment in East Zorra 17th Line Cemetery.
