LAWSON, William "Bill" - William Alexander "Bill" Lawson, 90, of Embro passed away peacefully at Woodstock Private Hospital, on Monday, March 30, 2015. He was born in East Zorra Township, Oxford County on November 28, 1924 a son of the late Bert and Lily (Howe) Lawson. Bill had worked at Beachville Lime (now Carmeuse Lime) in Beachville for over thirty years and had been a school bus driver for Zorra Bus Lines for thirty years. He was a member of Knox United Church, Embro; a member of Thistle Masonic Lodge, Embro for more than sixty years and a member of Thames Valley Chapter O.E.S. , Innerkip. He is survived by his wife, the former Ruth Shewan, whom he married at Embro an October 20, 1948; two sons, Keith and wife Anne Lawson of London, Michael and wife Sherri Lawson of Embro; four grandchildren, Kristopher and wife Alysha Lawson, Amanda Lawson and fiancé Dan Reyes, Jordan Lawson and fiancé Adam Matheson and Jared Lawson; four great-granddaughters, Audrey Millie, Edie and Violet Lawson; brothers-in-law, Ronald Shewan of Embro, Donald and wife Eleanor Shewan of Woodstock; several nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his brother, Gordon Lawson and his sister-in-law, Shirley Lawson. Relatives and friends will be received in the FRANCIS FUNERAL HOME , 77 Woodstock St. N., Tavistock on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. where a private funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015. The Rev. Keith Rameshwar will officiate. Interment in North Embro Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Shriner's Hospital for Sick Children would be appreciated and may be made through the Francis Funeral Home by calling 1-519-655-2431
