DeBOER, Symen (1950 - 2015) - After a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, May 29, 2015, Symen DeBoer of Tillsonburg passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 64 years. Predeceased by his wife Elisabeth (Dijkstra) (2012). Beloved fiancé of Alie Janssen. Loving father to Douwe "Dave" and Anneke DeBoer of Tillsonburg. Jetske and Henry Boer of Atwood, Ina and Gert Siebelink of Nampa, ID, Baukje and Arjo VanBergeijk of New Hamburg. Loving grandfather "Pake" of Jenna, Symen and Owen DeBoer, Anita, Mariska, Heidi and Lucas Boer, Julian and Niels Siebelink, Jake and Ian VanBergeijk. Also survived by sisters Rens (Jan) and Nynke (Doede) and his sister-in-law Joke. Symen was predeceased by both parents and his brother Douwe. Will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and his good friends. Friends and relatives will be received at OSTRANDER'S FUNERAL HOME , 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service for Symen will be held at the Christian Reformed Church, 150 Concession St. Tillsonburg on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Springford Cemetery.
