Passed away peacefully at VON Sakura House surrounded by his family on Thursday July 9th 2015. Carl Allan "Al" Griffith of Woodstock in his 60th year. Beloved husband of Mary Griffith (nee Grevers). Loved son of Evelyn Griffith and the late Carl Griffith. Dear brother of Terry (Frank) McNaughton, Penny Bruce, Duane (Deb) Griffith, Tracy (Cliff) Johnson, Gerry (John) Smith and Tammy. Also survived by his mother-in-law Diane Grevers and the late John Grevers. Dear brother-in-law of Henry (Nancy Calic) Grevers, Grace (Harry) Schipper, Bernice (Tim) Bentum and Ingrid (Bill) Los. Al is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Al was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55 Woodstock, Oxford County Naval Veterans Association and the Moose Family Centre. Friends and family are invited to join the family at the BROCK AND VISSER FUNERAL HOME , 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Monday July 13th 2015 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm where the Memorial Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday July 14th 2015 at 11:00 am. Reception to follow at Woodstock Navy Club. Cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial donations to the VON-Sakura House or Cowan Park Fundraising Committee would be appreciated.
