Matthews, John Hadrian (Died)

MATTHEWS, John Hadrian - Originally of London, England, died at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll, ON on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in his 90th year. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Patricia Naomi Brooks (1990). He was the cherished father of Sylvia Anne Miller (Stephen), Constance Jane Matthews-Cull (Andrew), Elizabeth Patricia Ruse (Michael), Harold Douglas (Nancy Wallace); Poppa to Elizabeth, Allison, Emily, Oliver, Harriet, Edward, Allister and Hamish; Great Grampa to Annabel and Nora. The family wishes to acknowledge the kind support of the staff at Oxford Manor, Alexandra Hospital, Woodstock CCAC, Anita of I CARE, and the many caring neighbours and friends who made it possible to enjoy his life at home. John was a brilliant and accomplished technical artist and recipient of numerous accolades and awards. He will be remembered for many and various contributions in aviation, military history, and modeling, as wells as for his keen wit. Friends will be received at the MCBEATH-DYNES FUNERAL HOME 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Alexandra Hospital Foundation.
