MATTHEWS, Maurice - Promoted to the arms of his Lord and Saviour at VON Sakura House on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Pamela Matthews (nee Attwell). Loving father of Austin Matthews and his wife Shirley and Karen Matthews all of Woodstock. Dear grandfather of Rebecca Matthews (Gerry Lightbody), Chelsea Matthews, Robyn Woodall and Carly Woodall. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Avril (nee Payne) Matthews and his sister Margaret Buck. Maurice was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br # 55, Woodstock and R.A.F Regiment Association in England. The family will receive friends at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME , 69 Wellington St. N., Woodstock on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 11 am until 12:45 p.m. Maurice's home going service will follow in the chapel 1:00pm with Pastor Ken Morgan of the Beachville Baptist Church.
