VAN'T KLAPHEK, Cornelis (Kees) - Passed away peacefully at Woodstock Hospital on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in his 94th year. Born on April 12, 1922 in Putten, The Netherlands. Kees is survived by his wife Lena of almost 66 years. Father to Gerty Van't Klaphek of Putten, Edie Stam (Peter) of Hickson, Marja VanderBas (Jasper) of Woodstock and Wulf Van't Klaphek (Willie) of Innerkip. Opa to Keith (Jeofe), Lenette (Ed), Jeff, Peter (Cynthia), Wendy ( Kris), Edie (Ian), Nick (Eri), Jantine (Adam), Jacob (Rudin), Sarah (Noah), Joop and 11 great grandchildren. Kees was the last survivor of the "razzia" roundup in Putten during World War II. He was a dairy farmer in Holland and immigrated to Canada in 1970 where he farmed for many years. He loved animals and nature. The funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Reformed Church, 170 Clarke St. Woodstock, on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the property purchase fund at Emmanuel Reformed Church and may be arranged through the BROCK AND VISSER FUNERAL HOME, Woodstock , 519-539-0004.
