LOCKERT, Marcelle Yvette (Delaney) née Dionne - (December 22, 1923 - January 4, 2016), peacefully entered into eternal life in her 93rd year. She was born in Letellier, Manitoba. As a wife, mother and teacher, Marcelle cared for her family and taught school in Winnipeg and Montreal. After her children were grown, she made a life with husband Bill in Edmonton; Saskatoon; Uppsala; Red Lake and Woodstock, Ontario. Marcelle always delighted in the beauty of God's creation expressing her appreciation as an artist of canvas and brush, and of piano and organ. Always curious about all of creation, she enjoyed expanding her wonder to include the planets, moons and stars, which she spent much time viewing through her sophisticated telescope. Marcelle was a strong woman who was not deterred by a stroke in early 2014. A woman of deep faith and love of family, she was the beloved wife and sweetheart of William (Bill) Lockert, cherished mother of Michelle Eason (Lorne), Jim Delaney (Mary), Monique Taylor (Deryk) and Jack Delaney (Delia); devoted grandmother of Christine, Jen, Sarah, Kelly Anne, Michael, Tom, Simon, Cassandra, Philip, Julia, Leanne, Colleen, Sean, Janet, Tammy, Josh and Ryan and great grandmother of thirteen. She was preceded into eternal life by husband Joseph Delaney, daughter Lucille Delaney, parents Joseph and Cecile Dionne, sister Georgette and brother Jules. Visitation: 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Thursday, January 7, 2016; Funeral 11:00 AM, Friday January 8, 2016 at Holy Trinity Church at 1420 Devonshire Ave. in Woodstock, Ontario. The family is grateful to the Woodstock General Hospital for the compassionate care Marcelle and her family received. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Woodstock General Hospital at www.wghfoundation.ca or to the Building Fund at Holy Trinity Parish at holytrinity@dol.ca For I am persuaded that nothing "shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord".
