GLEASON, Roger - At Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care, London, on Monday, March 7th, 2016, Roger W. Gleason of London in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Audrey (Ayres) Gleason. Loved father of Joan Steenburg and her husband Dave of Woodstock, John Gleason and his wife Pat of Toronto, Graham Gleason and his wife Cathy of Midhurst, David Gleason and his wife Laura of London, and Garth Gleason and his wife Tia of Vancouver. Lovingly remembered by 15 grandchildren. Predeceased by three sisters: Lois Sawyer, Dora Hutton and Alice Self. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario in Journalism and Honours English, Roger taught English in secondary schools in Listowel, London and Woodstock where he was head of the English Department at Huron Park Secondary School for 13 years. The family would like to thank the staff at Mount Hope for the wonderful care Roger received over the past three years. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at WESTVIEW BAPTIST CHURCH , 1000 Wonderland Road South, London, on Saturday, March 12th, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Jim McGee officiating.
