MICHALAK, Weronika "Mary" (nee Bankowska) - Peacefully, at Extendicare Nursing Home, London, on Sunday, January 17, 2016. Born in Kowel, Poland, Weronika was in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Jan Michalak (1984). Jan and Weronika married in 1947 and immigrated to Canada in 1949. Predeceased by her parents Julia (nee Bardaczewska) and Wlodzimierz Bankowska. Visitation will be held at the SMITH-LEROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington Street, North, Woodstock on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 2 -4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held from Holy Cross Catholic Church 169 Ingersoll Road, Woodstock on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Father Chibowski as celebrant. Spring interment at St. Mary's Catholic cemetery, Woodstock. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Online condolences may be sent to www.smithleroy.com
