SCHOOLEY, Margaret - Suddenly, and surrounded by family, on March 28, 2016. Mary Margaret Smith was born May 18, 1933 in Woodstock, Ontario to Thomas and Mary Smith. Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Clendon Schooley, in 1998. She was a very proud mom of 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Her memory and smile lives on in her kids - Mark and Sara, Judy and Ron Witmer, Robert and Liz, Ruth Schooley and Nancy and Rob Gillespie. She was the epitome of a grandmother to Hilisha and Matt, Jason and Cheyenne, Rachel and Colin McAskile, Samantha and Tyler Holden-Smith, Tanya and Alem Sabic, Jen Witmer and Mik, Caitlyn and Brian Griswold, Kathryn Witmer and Derek, Michael Gillespie, Breanne and Brandon, and Chris Witmer. Warm and adoring great grandmother to Hunter, Cadence, Kaylee, Mia, Morgan, Oliver, and Blake. Margaret loved and respected her only sister Joan and her husband Norman Smith. She always enjoyed her time and the kidding around with her little brother Tom and his wife Mary Ellen. She was a dear sister in law to Edythe Smith. Margaret was the second youngest of 6 children in her family, with whom she shared many wonderful memories. She was predeceased by her brothers - Patrick and his wife Gert; Dominic; and Terry and Noreen. Marg enjoyed spending time with her extended family by marriage, many of whom have passed before her. She was recently able to spend some time catching up with sister in law Dorothy Schooley and brother-in-law Monte and Ann Schooley and Clen's dear cousin Joe Boyd and Helen. Many good times were had out on the farm with the whole clan from both sides getting together for annual corn roasts. We all hold great memories from those days as did mom. She was the most tolerant and caring aunt to many, many nieces and nephews and their families. She will be greatly missed by many, especially her best friend Margaret Toth, whom she cared deeply about, as well as her dear neighbour and friend Ida. Family and friends will be received at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME , 69 Wellington St. N., Woodstock on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be said at 4 pm. A complete memorial mass will take place on Saturday, April 2, 2016, 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 1420 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock with Fr. Rick Dales as celebrant. A reception will follow in the Parish Life Centre. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Oxford County or the Ontario Lung Association. "Toward no end I crazily wander, My future buried with my past And as my whirling mind does ponder I seem to see you again at last." - Clen Schooley
