ZAVITZ, Stewart Orville - Passed away at Woodingford Lodge Woodstock on Tuesday May 10, 2016 in his 67th year. Beloved husband of Sue Zavitz (nee Odorico). Loving father of Anthony (Ellie) Zavitz, Nina Zavitz (Callum Dolan) and Ashley Zavitz (Martin Griffiths). Cherished grandfather of Tyler, Brady, Mia-Bella, Atalyna and Eghan. Dear brother of Margquerite (Bob) Richardson, Bruce (Nora) Zavitz, Wayne (Diane) Zavitz, Marlene (Rob) Mabee, Marion Booth, John Zavitz, Marie Zavitz and Kevin (Tracy) Zavitz. Loved son-in-law of Maddelena Odorico and brother-in-law of Anne Zavitz. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Orville and Gladys (nee McEwen) Zavitz, by his brother Paul Zavitz and his father-in-law Antonio Odorico. Stewart was the founder of Woodstock Martial Arts and was well known as the "Grandfather of Martial Arts of Woodstock." Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Quality Inn, 580 Bruin Boulevard, Woodstock on Thursday May 12, 2016 in the Ball Room from 4pm - 8pm. If desired, memorial contributions can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Diabetes Association and may be arranged through the BROCK AND VISSER FUNERAL HOME , 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004).
